Lupe's Flowers

Lupe’s Flowers was founded by Lupes Lopez a Mexican-American florist, based in Des Moines, Iowa. Born and raised in Iowa, Lupe grew up celebrating Mexican traditions, Día de Muertos, where flowers played a powerful role in honoring loved ones and expressing emotions beyond words.

In 2023, she founded Lupe’s Flowers to bring authentic Mexican floral artistry to the Midwest, filling a cultural gap by offering arrangements inspired by tradition, family, and community. Lupe is known for sourcing and growing authentic cempasúchil (marigolds), a flower deeply rooted in Día de Muertos celebrations and historically hard to find in Iowa.

We envision a future where flowers not only preserve tradition but also unite communities, allowing cultural celebrations like Día de Muertos to be honored with authenticity and pride. Lupe’s Flowers is rooted in cultural authenticity and strong community connections.
